GI Tag Bazaar is an online platform for discovering and listing Geographical Indication (GI) tagged products from India. We provide listings, a blog and informational resources, and tools for sellers to post ads and for buyers to find and contact them. We are an intermediary and are not a party to any transaction between users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to register an account or post listings. By using the website, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. User Accounts

You must give accurate, current and complete information when registering.
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.
Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.

4. Rules for Sellers and Listings

If you post a listing, you agree that:

You are the owner, producer, or an authorised seller or authorised user of the products listed.
All information, including the GI registration number, certificate, origin, price, images and descriptions, is true, accurate and not misleading.
You will not list counterfeit, imitation, or falsely labelled products, or falsely claim a GI tag.
You have the right to use all images, text and documents you upload.
Your products and listings comply with applicable laws, including the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (where applicable), and the Legal Metrology Act, 2009.
You are solely responsible for pricing, taxes (including GST), packaging, shipping, delivery, returns, refunds and customer service.

We may review, edit, reject, suspend or remove any listing at our discretion, without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms or the law.

5. Rules for Buyers

Contact sellers and buy at your own discretion and risk.
Verify the authenticity of products, the GI registration, and the seller’s credentials before paying.
We recommend not making advance payments to unverified sellers, and inspecting goods where possible.
All terms of sale, including payment, delivery, returns and refunds, are agreed directly between you and the seller.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Post false, misleading, fraudulent or counterfeit content or listings.
Infringe any copyright, trademark, GI right or other intellectual property right.
Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing or harmful to others.
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
Upload viruses or malicious code, or attempt to hack, disrupt or overload the website.
Scrape, crawl, copy or harvest data from the website without our written permission.
Use the website for spam, unsolicited promotions, or any unlawful purpose.
Click on or generate artificial traffic or impressions on advertisements displayed on the website.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content on this website, including text, blog articles, design, logos, graphics and layout, belongs to GI Tag Bazaar or its licensors and is protected by Indian copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or modify it without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use with proper credit.

8. User Content License

You keep ownership of the content you post (text, images, documents). 13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GI Tag Bazaar and its owners, directors, employees and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of the website or any transaction between users, including fraud, counterfeit goods, non-delivery, defective products, payment disputes or loss of data or profits.
